A fire broke out overnight Saturday into Sunday in a barn on Boscheind, authorities reported Sunday morning. The blaze was reported through Brabant Alert, a regional safety collaboration between emergency services and municipalities in Noord-Brabant.
Firefighters responded with three fire trucks. Two pigs housed in an adjacent barn were rescued in time by the fire crew and moved to a nearby pasture to ensure their safety, according to Hart van Nederland.
The fire was brought under control around 1:30 a.m. One fire truck remained at the scene to carry out extinguishing efforts and prevent flare-ups.
At this time, it is unknown if there were any injuries to people. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
