This weekend will bring warm weather across the Netherlands, with daytime temperatures ranging from 22° at the coast to as high as 28° in the south, according to weather bureau Weeronline.

Saturday will start off dry and sunny in most areas. Some low cloud may linger in the southern regions during the morning, but it is expected to clear quickly. As the day progresses, cloud cover will increase slightly, but the sun should remain visible for much of the day.

A brief local shower is possible later in the day, particularly in the far east, but most places will remain dry.

Sunday will be slightly cooler, with highs between 21° and 26°. The weather will be more unsettled, with clouds more prominent and showers developing across the country during the day.

Some of these may be accompanied by a rumble of thunder in the east or northeast, but rainfall totals are expected to be low and some places will stay dry throughout.

The warm, largely dry summer weather is expected to continue into the new week. Inland temperatures are likely to remain around 25° or above, with frequent sunshine and only the occasional shower.
