Teen fatbike gang attacks three family members in Uden park

A group of 10 to 15 teenagers riding fatbikes violently assaulted a man and two of his family members Saturday night at Bevrijdingspark in Uden, leaving all three with injuries to their faces and hands, Omroep Brabant reports. The attack occurred between 9:15 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. near the Meerloseweg, police said Sunday.

The victims, who have not been named, had a confrontation with the group earlier that evening at a pedestrian crossing near the Uden bus station. The precise cause of the dispute is still under investigation. All of the suspects involved in the attack were estimated to be between 15 and 18 years old.

Police have arrested one boy from Uden in connection with the assault. He is currently in custody as the investigation continues. Authorities emphasized that multiple individuals were involved and are now seeking witnesses.

“Because several boys were involved in the assault, we’re looking for people who may have seen what happened or who may have video footage,” a police spokesperson said. “We would like to speak with them to get a clearer picture of what exactly took place.”
