Video: Eleventh edition of the Daschund Race held in Opsel

The Dutch Daschund Club held the 11th edition of the Daschund Race in Opsel on Monday. About 150 dogs participated, L1 Nieuws reported.

All daschunds and their owners were welcome at the event, regardless of whether they were members of the club. The participating dachshunds raced in three categories: puppy, adult, and senior.

The dachshund is currently one of the most popular dog breeds in the Netherlands. The dogs are known for being stubborn and tough, and surprisingly fast. Dachshunds were originally bred to be hunting dogs.

The focus of the race was on having fun with the dogs. Owners laughingly told L1 about their dog ending up on the wrong field or refusing to run at all.
