Uttarakhand chief minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday took a bath with his family at the holy Triveni Sangam on the auspicious occasion of Mahakumbh 2025. He prayed for the happiness, prosperity and progress of the people of the state by invoking all the gods along with the worship of the pure mother Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati.
The chief minister said that the Maha Kumbh has been connecting crores of people with religion and culture through the spiritual and cultural importance of Sanatan Dharma, maintaining its integrity for centuries. The festival of Maha Kumbh is not only a symbol of spiritual consciousness, but also of national unity, integrity and world brotherhood. This great festival of the world has been paving the way for world welfare by inspiring humanity, harmony and moral values for centuries.
The chief minister described bathing his revered mother in Prayagraj Maha Kumbh as an invaluable and emotional moment of his life and said that it is mentioned in the Vedas, scriptures and Puranas that no living being can repay the debt of its mother. Our existence is connected to our mother.
The chief minister said that on this divine occasion he also realized that mother is not only the birth giver but is also like a living pilgrimage. All the good deeds in life are fruitful by serving and respecting her. He said that this emotional moment is a living example of Sanatan culture, tradition and motherly devotion for him.
